Lovely historic village. Impeccably maintained ryokan. Super friendly staff. Free bicycle rental. Fantastic meals. Interesting surroundings. Great onsen system. Kindness is universal.
Nothing, all was good.

We recently stayed at a ryokan in a lovely town near the water. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was simply amazing, with plenty of fresh seafood. We were able to enjoy an excellent local performance and explore the town on foot thanks to its conveniently small size. We also thoroughly enjoyed soaking in the rooftop onsen, especially the outdoor one. Best of all, we were surrounded by tranquil silence throughout our stay.
That the street-facing room was a bit noisy due to the brightness of the lighting outside. After switching to a garden-facing room, we had no complaints at all.

Spending Christmas at this hotel was truly a memorable experience. the location was perfect, situated in a charming village with plenty of historical and cultural sites to explore. the staff was friendly, offering their own bikes for us to use and providing transportation to and from the station. the meals were absolutely delicious, with fresh seafood being a highlight. But what we enjoyed the most was the onsen. the well, maintained and clean facilities allowed us to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.
the room's location made it a bit difficult to sleep, especially since the street was well, lit.
